Mt Tabor Engagement Photos
Earlier in the winter, before all this lovely snow hit Portland, I got together with Mel and Jack to take some much needed engagement photos before their wedding in July. We managed to snag ourselves a sunny day and drove up to the top of Mt. Tabor for a quick little session. Afterwards we boogied back to their pad for photos of them in their beloved southeast home, plus some ill fated cameos from their alien daughter, Bill.
This session was a weird one for all of us because we’ve known each other for a few years and I’ve worked so many times for their band, Those Willows. Heck, our first major icebreaker session was being on tour for several weeks in Italy for Robin Bacior! Being comfortable in front of the camera definitely isn’t a problem for these two cuties, but we soon found ourselves searching for our “couples” groove when we so often wanted to fall into our “band” groove.
Nevertheless we came out of the afternoon with sweet, beautiful photos that we had a super fun time making. After circling back to their home for the final shots we walked down Belmont to grab some buffalo subs at the Sweet Hereafter and spontaneous cupcakes from Saint Cupcake. I wish every session ended with tasty vegan treats with colleagues turned buddies!
