San Francisco (Part I)

April 26, 2011

Chris and I spent this last week MIA from our regular lives and enjoying a most awesome vacation in California.
So as to not overwhelm, I’ll be breaking the posts into a day-by-day account.

Our first day, we flew in to SFO around 9:30, rode the BART to 24th and Mission and met with our hosts, Jessica and Colby. Jessica and I were pretty tight when we were younger, but when it was time to move away from home she went South and I went North. I hadn’t seen her in almost 5 years, so naturally there will be an abundance of her in these posts.

Though we spent an afternoon doing the touristy thing in other parts of town, we mostly had a vacation in the Mission. Philz Coffee and St. Francis diner were staples in our mornings.

Jess also has a black kitty, officially named Steve French, but casually referred to simply as Kitty. She is Felix’s soul mate, I’m pretty sure.

Our first night ended on the simple note of hanging out, having some drinks and catching up.

I would be a total liar if I said I hadn’t Facebook stalked the shit out of your friend. Her red lipstick and style caught me one day and I just sat looking through her photos. Total stalker alert but she is lovely! Looks like you guys had one heck of a first day, and as always you are my favorite color photographer ever.
