Camp Seely Wedding
Camp weddings always have this lingering feeling of togetherness that I love. It’s easy to get lost in the story while you’re out in the middle of nowhere, witnessing what happens in the after hours of a wedding. When there isn’t a hotel for guests to return to once the cake has been cut. When the sun goes down, the lights in the mess hall go up, and someone gets the outdoor fire pit going. You can see the stars, you can feel the bugs, and you can hear the laughter echoing through the trees. People are free to stay up as late as they want, chatting and re-connecting, because there isn’t a venue coordinator that’s going to come out at 9pm and say, “Time’s up!”
Kate and Will poured their heart, soul and incredible talents into creating a weekend that was full of beauty and togetherness. When people get out in nature and let go of the stress that comes with more traditional weddings, that’s when the guards come down, the floodgates are opened and the real moments ripple throughout the day.
That’s what campground weddings are all about.
I’m not sure if I’ll be commenting too late to get a response but I am looking to have a wedding at Camp Seely and was curious about the amount of time and effort it required if possible (I understand if not) I’d love to ask the couple about thier experience.
