306/365: Me and My Squarsh

Katie's Pick!

Jamie's Pick!

Yesterday the whole house drove out to Blue Lake to visit a local pumpkin patch! I must’ve been in the 3rd or 4th grade the last time I visited one, so needless to say I had a ton of fun. The farm was huge, but it didn’t take us long at all to find our picks. Pictured above is me, Katie and Jamie with our choice pumpkins.

Kristina Loves a Good Hayride

No Squarsh Here

We got to enjoy a bumpy hay ride there and back, full of pumpkin-smuggling hobbits. There was also a corn maze, but it cost $5 per person and from the hay ride I could only spot two sunflowers that didn’t look like they had given up on life. Definitely not the most exciting looking corn maze!

When we came home most everyone enjoyed a hot cup of tea while watching a baseball game on TV. All in all, a perfect autumn day.

Lots ‘n’ lots more photos from the exciting day on Flickr.

Aww so cute! I want to go to a pumkin patch!

lol! I know, it’s certainly a shock when we go back home for a visit and have to remember to leave all of our jackets and long-sleeved things behind.

Very cute. I still don’t believe you are in california :)

This is so whismsical and goofy, totally rad. Nice.

that patch looks like it makes for easy pickings! fun shot!

pumpkin patches are awesome! I can’t wait to go this coming weekend, even though its supposed to be freakin cold. None of my friends seem to share our child-like hobbies. Oh well, I will go by myself dammit!

That’s silly. I can understand not wanting to dress up and all that, but no one should ever grow out of pumpkin patches and jack-o-lanterns!

Thanks you guys!

A pumpkin is a squash but not all squash are pumpkins, so you were right both times ;)

aw that’s such a cute plump pumpkin, nice pick!

Looks like a grand time! I’ve been bugging my friends about visiting one, but so far no one’s taken bait. boo.
