Community Backyard

July 18, 2011

We live on the third floor of a secure building, so when summer comes around we have no backyard to escape to. Luckily, Irving Park has always been more than accommodating to our lounging needs. Plus, there’s an off-leash dog area so I can often times count on meeting some puppers that’s cute enough to melt my ice cold cat-lovin’ heart.

Now, if only the sun would come back out in Portland! It’s been obnoxiously glum these last couple of days.

[https://www.flickr.com/photos/isayx3] Hah :) I agree completely. It’s part of the reason why I love living in Portland so much. It’s such a sleepy little town, it’s hard not to fall into the habit of taking it easy no matter what age you are.

ah, but it looks so summery and warm in these pics! although yeah, i have heard of that cold snap up in the pacific NW.

woot, two jackie commentators in a row! :)

These were actually taken back in May! We’ve had our summery days for sure, but the last couple of weeks have been ridden with clouds, tons of humidity and rain. It’s nice, but I sure would like more of these naps in the park! (I also bought 50 speed film in anticipation of summer so you can imagine how frustrated I am with the weather right now, hah. ;)

Power to the Jackies! ;)

I love how quiet these photos are. We’ve got a huge backyard but Austin is obnoxiously hot so I tend to stay indoors with air conditioning. :)

i dont think people as adults get out enough to do things like this…people need to get out more. I got a scooter which helps a lot. I hate driving my car now. Although its so hot here, i wouldnt suggest taking a nap outside :)
